Combines source rock and reservoir data to simulate hydrocarbon migration and entrapment potential at either the prospect, play, or basin level.
Hydrocarbons migrate and accumulate in 3-D space. However, the use of 3-D modelling programs is limited because they require more data than are generally available, and model construction can be extremely complex. Execution of 3-D models requires significant computing power, as well as computing time, often taking several hours or even days to calculate. BasinFlow offers a viable, straightforward, fast solution to migration questions. Fully integrated with BasinView®, BasinMod® 1-D, and BasinMod® 2-D, BasinFlow® allows comprehensive exploration target prediction.
